We are triAthlone which is a long standing sporting event that will be held this year on the weekend of the 05th July 2020 . With this event it will see athletes take to the waters of the River Shannon, take to the Roads of Athlone. As a result of this it will be necessary to implement a road closure order on Saturday 04th to Sunday 05th July 2020.

To make the event as safe as possible for the athletes, spectators and residents it is necessary to close specific roads during certain periods of the event.

Grace Road, Main Street (cobbled area behind Athlone Castle), The Quays.

Athlone Town Bridge, Nothgate Steet from Abbey St Junciton to Townbridge ( traffic coming from Coosan point road, train station direction only. Traffic coming from Church Street not effected.

N6 – Athlone Relief Road.
Parking will be prohibited on streets associated with the Road Closures. Restricted access will be available on all roads for urgent deliveries and emergency vehicles.
