When and where do I register?

When can I rack my bike in T1?

Can I leave anything other than my bike in transition?

Yes. Its a normaltransition.

 

 

Where do I leave my casual clothes bag?

There will be a designated bag drop for casual clothing at the finish area.

Where is the swim start?

The swim starts from Number 1.

 

How do I get to the swim start?

All athletes must walk to swim start and be at the swim start 10 mins before wave start.

Where is the Expo and when is it open?

The expo is situated in the athletes village in beside Transition.

Is there a food court and where is it situated?

 

 

Is the roads closed on the bike?

No. Their is certain roads at key crossings that are closed but the race is being run on open roads. All athletes must obey the rules of the road. All major junctions will be marshalled.

 

How many loops on the bike course?

The bike consists of 1 lap of 20.km.

Is the bike course flat?

The bike course is generally flat and fast. Usually wind assisted for the last 10 km. Check out the route maps for further details

 

Where are the aid stations on the bike?

Their is 1 aid stations on the bike course at 10km.

 

What nutrition is at the bike aid stations?

The aid stations on the bike are as follows:
Water – Isotonic – Gels – Bars

How many loops on the run course?

The run consists of 2 loops for Sprint and 1 Lopp for the Try a Tri

 

Where are the aid stations on the run?

The aid stations are situated at 1,3 km.

 

What nutrition is at the run aid stations?

The aid stations on the bike are as follows:
Water – Isotonic – Gels – Bars – Water

Do I receive a finisher medal?

Yes. Every athlete that completes the race receives a finisher medal.

What is at the athletes recuperation area?

Athletes will have an exclusive area at the finish line to rest get some well earned calories.

Is there a Finish line and after party?

Join our party at the athletes village in burgess park and help us bring home these amazing athletes. The music and incredible atmosphere rolls on until we bring the final competitor across the finish line.

Where are the best Spectator viewing points?

The swim start will be an electric atmosphere. The famous Athlone town bridge and castle create amphitheatre which will keep you in  the heart of the action. The athletes village is ideal for seeing your loved ones during T1 and T2. The 3 main hotspots on the run are the Transition area with music pumping out all day. The town bridge and Main Street offer both views of the bike in and run circuit. Our famous beer mile sponsored by  situated at the world famous Sean’s bar. The oldest pub in Europe. This is where you can sit back cheer on the athletes and enjoy a beer.
